VPS and classifieds site

Hi, I have a question about VPS.

I would like to know if a server VPS is good to create a classifieds site, at least at the beginning of the project.

It all depends on the number of hits. I think any VPS can handle a small site with a few hundred visitors a day, from 500+ concentrated at some hours and not spread evenly, you start to need more than just 128 MB ram, say 256 for 1 k or so. It also matters how heavy the sql load is, there are many variables to consider, but, generally speaking, it will work for sure, even for many visitors if the VPS is big enough.
